1.  Admission Procedures

Admission Policy for Prospective Students

Applicants should:

  • desire an enriched mind and broad intellectual horizon through learning scholarship and arts
  •  have enthusiasm to quest and create “Wisdom and Beauty”
  •  have desire to accomplish specialized knowledge and skill, and to contribute himself/herself in both the local community and globally
  • challenge everything with curiosity and a positive attitude, and make continuous efforts for  completion

Qualifications

Applicants of this university should meet the following conditions. (For all departments)

 1. Applicants, who do NOT hold “Japanese” citizenship, should have a resident status that does not prevent university enrollment.

 2. Applicants, who have completed a 12-year-curriculum of formal education, must be over 18 years old, and hold one of the following:

  • IB (International Baccalaureate) certification issued by International Baccalaureate Organization
  • Baccalaureate certification equivalent to the university entrance qualification in France
  • Abitur certification equivalent to the university entrance qualification in each state of Federal Republic of Germany

3. Applicants must have passed the Examination for Japanese University admission for International students (EJU).

 Pre-required subjects

  • Department of Economics, Management, and Information Science: Japanese as a Foreign Language, Mathematics, General subjects
  • Department of Japanese Literature: Japanese as a Foreign Language
  • Department of Art and Design: Japanese as a Foreign Language, General subjects

  • Students who belong to the department of Art and Design will need 50,000 – 60,000 yen for the First-year practice fee, and 200,000 – 400,000 yen for the Third-year Antique Research Tour.
  • Students who belong to the department of Economics, Management, and Information Science will need a laptop PC. The one the department recommends in 2022 fiscal year costs around 140,000 yen.
